about

You can also download the EP on the net label, Blocsonic.com blocsonic.com/releases/louis-lingg-and-the-bombs/can-you-hear-the-uproar

This record, like many of our records, kind of came about by accident.

We've been wanting to write a JRock song in japanese for a long time. We made a pretty good one about Onigiri a few years ago but our drummer pointed out that the music didn't really reflect what JRock often has. So he wrote a complicated chord sequence that was garanteed to make people think of japanese rock even before you listen to the lyrics.

I wrote They Stole the Rave after the murder of Steve Canico by police in Nantes. Apparently they let him drown in the river because they were angry because they were dancing to the song Porcherie by Berurier Noir. The commemorate Steve, they organised a rave party to celebrate him. The police attacked it. I watched it on facebook live. The police were like rabid dogs attacking DJ equipment with as much hatred as they attacked the ravers. Quite poetic and dystopian images.

I wrote Manspreading on the Metro about my friend and Colleague Yves who committed suicide because of our director at work. This director lied to us and said he died in his sleep. His wife found out about the lie and told us that he committed suicide because of the director. What an absolute monster that man is. It was originally a grunge song but Octave rewrote it to make it a techno rock song.

There you have it!

about

Louis Lingg and the Bombs Paris, France

Louis Lingg and the Bombs are goddamn punk-rock-garage-electro-big beat-pop-anarcho saviours of the 2 and half minute pop song. The bombs they throw are musical, they come from Paris (they could only come from Paris!) and they'll grab you and demand your instant attention.
Their sound is a mix of ultra-political anarchic punk rock and fizzing children's nursery rhyme riot-pop. Formed in 2006!!!!
